Welcome to the home of Britwell Recycled Teenagers, Britwell's over 55 elderly club!

Our 2019 update!

Yet again we had another successful Christmas Lunch and the pictures are testament to all the hard work and effort that the committee and members put in to give their members a wonderful time.

The Recycled Teenagers Group had presents donated by Reckitt & Benickser which they distributed to most of their members. Reckitt & Benickser also supplied a number of volunteers to serve lunch to the members and for that they would like to offer their thanks. The volunteers make a regular visit to assist with the lunch group.

New members welcome so please come along and join in.

We are an independent community group, run by volunteers with the aim of providing support and encouragement for anyone over the age of 55. We offer a wide range of services and you can find us at the Britwell Centre on Wentworth Avenue.

Bridging the gap between generations, we have been working well with local schools. Pupils from Beechwood School come along every 6 weeks and have lunch with us, both young and old enjoy getting together and talking. Before Christmas 45 elderly went by coach to Westgate School where they joined in with an Arts and Crafts morning, pupils were helping them make Snowmen and Penguins and out socks. There was a lot of laughter and our members were very competitive, they also enjoyed scones and pastries made by the pupils.

Once a month after Friday coffee morning we have a film show, where members get to watch a film of their choice while eating popcorn or ice cream.

We are now doing Chair Exercise on a Monday morning, low intensity exercises to help with their physical health, keeping joints supple and flexible longer. It is well attended by members, as well as keeping them active , it’s sociable and enjoyable.

Summer fun for this year is a week’s holiday to Hayling Island taking 55 members by coach, we know we are going to have a great time full of fun and laughter. we will also be visiting Hastings, Bournemouth, Eastbourne and Brighton.

Thanks to all our funders....
